I have presented my narrative using movie making

I worked with Dylan, Liam and Jacob

My narrative showed empathy by the FBI feeling sad for Doc because his machine turned out bad. The FBI tried to help him.

The thing I enjoyed most about this learning was the part when we were acting for the movie.

We learned that myths were a way of explaining how the world began.

I am learning about Anzac day as it is important about "being a New Zealander"
two things I know is that a lot of soldiers died in the war.
two things I would like to know is why they were fighting a war between the world.

WHAT?

With Mrs Marsh I learned about foreground, midground and background in landscapes.

NOW WHAT? I have painted lake Ellesmere using the bird as the foreground a island in the midground and mountains in the backround.

SO WHAT? The PTA are going to pick 12 paintings to make into a calender.

My reading teacher is Mr Rule

So What?

My handwriting goal is to use cursive correctly

My spelling goal is to complete list 7

My writing goal is to describe a moment in time

                                

                                

My reading goal is to use several pieces of information to make inferences

My blog goals are  to  add more detail to my blog posts

                            to proofread and edit my blog post before publishing

                            to use a variety of ways to show my learning (text, photos/images, video)

                            to complete all the set blogs for this term

                            to do a ‘Can Do’ blog about an achievement.

                           

Te reo maori

What is my learning goal? We have been learning language about Ko Au which means Me Myself and I.
So what? Something I have learnt to say some sentences.e.g. ko wai to mama?

Now what? My next learning step is to make a conversation with other people in Maori.

Reading

What is my learning goal? Understand and organise,or order text.

What have I learned?  I have learned to predict and summarise the text. I predict by looking at the cover ot title what the text might be about.

What is my next step? Know what different words mean.

learning about keeping ourselves safe

I am learning to make safe decisions
I am learning this because we want top learn how to keep ourselves safe
A example of safe decisions is to not to get bribed by strangers.

my statistical investigation

I am learning to complete a statistical investigation.
I have learned that the steps in the statistical inquiry model are to pose a question,plan an investigation,gather the data,analyse the data and form conclusions.

Something I have learnt from gathering the data is that people like to play fitness games a lot.

PE

Mosaic Art

WALT;create a Mosaic picture using pastel and Indian Ink.

I learned to use chalk to break the picture into pieces.

Here is an example of my learning: I used bright colours for my picture.

Next time I will use more bright colours because it will stand out more.

WALT;Introduce ourselves in Te Reo.

I learned how to say my Mum & Dad in Te Reo.

I achieved my goal because I can introduce myself .

Next time I will pronounce the words correctly.

WALT; infer meaning from the text
I learned how to infer meaning from the text and use pictures for clues.
I achieved my goal because I used clues in the text.
Next time I will look for emotions and punctuation for more clues.

75 years ago when I was training to be a soldier I met two people called Dylan and Matthew. Let me tell you about me,Dylan and Matt.

Cross Country

WALT run 1.5km for Cross Country

I learned that at the start to jog at the start I can run faster at the end.

I achieved my goal because I finished the Cross Country.

Next time I will jog to save my energy.

ANZAC Week Term 2 Week 1

This week I have really enjoyed learning about pigeon writing because it felt like sending messages to the commander. I would like to learn more about pigeons and what else they did in the War.
